... that watercress is a vegan super-food? 80g (which is about one cereal bowl full) of watercress provides one of your 5-a-day portions of fruit and vegetables recommended by the Department of Health to help reduce the risk of many chronic diseases.


Watercress is a dark, leafy green that grows in natural spring water and has found to even been a staple in the diet of ancient Roman soldiers! It’s a light, crunchy leaf that tastes peppery and bright. Why not try to include a handful of watercress into your diet by

  • tossing it into a salad

  • adding it to soups, sandwiches and stir-fries

  • sauté it with ginger and serve as a side dish

  • blending it with fruits and vegetables into a green smoothie
